THE AMAZING MANTIS SHRIMP

Image
We all consider the ant to be a true heavy hitter, lifting weights 20 times its own body weight, hurrying around  building nests and tunnels without sleep but, if you consider that amazing just wait till you see this critter, The mantis shrimp.   The mantis shrimp unlike other shrimp in it’s family takes a much fearsome role as a predator This one is about to devour the snail, but she’s gotta crack open it first right??. She carefully positions her legs and punches the snail with its legs with the force of a .22 caliber bullet, yup you heard me right an aquatic organism that can punch and crack open a snail’s shell with the force of a .22 caliber bullet!!, it’s the fastest attack in the entire animal kingdom!!.   This shrimp is called a smasher. The other is called a spearer buried under sand ambushes and impales its prey using a blade at blinding speed and drags it into the sand!! What makes mantis shrimp amazing isn't only it’s blinding speed but also i...

TESLA THE FUTURE FOR CARS

Have a cake and eat it too??

INSIDE A TESLA CAR

Here’s why your next car should be a tesla. The other day I was browsing on the internet comparing deals on cars, then came a question: should I buy a gasoline car or an electric? I finally pulled the plug and bought a tesla model 3, here’s why you should do the same!!.

For the past three years, I have never been to a gas station, since getting the car in 2018.

Ironically people don’t buy electric cars overcharging concerns, whenever my neighbors ask me “where do you charge your tesla?”I would reply “where do you charge your phone ?”, to which the answer is “at my home!! ”

One convenience factor which is hugely overlooked is the ability to charge your car, overnight during off-peak hours when electricity rates are the cheapest, and when i wake up my car is charged enough to satisfy my daily travel needs, I drive 400 miles per week and after 26,000 miles of driving my home electricity bill went up by a measly $36, considering my off-peak electricity rate is $0.0708.

Adding to the goodies, installing a home charger cost about $900 which included rewiring the electrical connections, which was taken care of by federal and state subsidies. Whenever I go on long trips I use the tesla supercharger network which after 75000 miles cost me about $54

So on totaling the costs after 75,000 miles I spent about $1,350 on home charging and $54 on tesla superchargers, the savings are absolutely brilliant when comparing to a similarly priced BMW 320 i which costs about $48,990 in the upfront purchase, which has a mileage of 28mpg and requires premium gasoline, which runs at about $3.27 a gallon.

To drive the BMW the same amount of miles it would cost an astonishing $9,353 in gasoline cost not including a $1000 wheel alignment and oil change cost every 4000 miles.

Tesla’s also offers an amazing range rivaling the BMW’S, adding to that, the low center of gravity of the batteries, the instantaneous acceleration of the motors, which all adds to the silent drive, massive legroom, great interior comfort, and an engaging driving experience.

So, the next time you shop for a car, fight the urge to buy the Teutonic brands and get yourself a cheaper, fun, and convenient tesla over the mainstay of the luxury world.

  2. Once the battery fails and burns due to over heat. The fire cannot be put off untill the car burns out fully. The life time of battery is less nearly 8 years. Then you have to change the battery which costs 60% of your car.
